Sapphire Edge HD2 Mini PC Review

The box is typical of what we expect from Sapphire with a lot of clear, concise information. A picture of the PC takes centre stage and lots of information surrounds it including the specs, and that Windows is included as well as the bundle VESA mount.
The right hand side of the box reels off the main system specifications and lists that the operating system is sold separately as you can buy this unit without Windows, whereas our version came inclusive of Windows 7 (thanks Sapphire).
The rear gives a view of the connectivity options available on the Edge HD2 and also shows a clear comparison on how big the product is compared to a woman’s hand with country orientated nails.
The Edge HD2 certainly isn’t sparse on accessories and bundle extras and comes packaged with quite a few to get you started. This includes the choice of mounting the PC vertically using the stand or the VESA mount if you fancy mounting the PC onto the rear of your monitor/TV. Sadly it’s a bit too small for my new Samsung UE46D6100 Smart TV, so I’m forced to use the vertical stand instead.
Also included is a HDMI cable, HDMI to DVI converter, case stickers, software CD and a brief instruction manual though being hosting, the PC doesn’t require a rocket scientist to get things going.
Lastly we find an AC adapter with a blue activity LED to notify us when it’s plugged in and functioning correctly.
