Which one of these graphics cards is right for you? Of course, it’s not just as easy as budgeting for the graphics card. As I said if you have a certain type of monitor already, it makes sense to buy a card that can get the most out of it without overspending. Or you may want to invest in a more capable gaming monitor as well as a new graphics card to get the best of both worlds.

For a Full HD monitor, you could be looking at a price of around £80-150 for something gamer-ready. If you want the 7700 XT or 7800 XT, then moving up to a more capable display should cost you around £250. For the 7900 XT good monitors in this class start at around £250 but for ultrawide, the best part of £350 should be reasonable. Obviously, the sky is the limit for enthusiast monitors, but a good quality 4K60 monitor can be had for as little as £350, but if you want something with a refresh rate above 60Hz, £550-800 is not uncommon. Pair that with the price of your GPU to make sure you can afford both the display you want and the graphics card to make the most of it.
