Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX VEGA 56 Video Card Listed Online

A yet to be announced RX Vega 56 graphics card from Sapphire has been listed online via Alternate.de. The Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX VEGA 56 sports a dual-fan cooling solution that is quite thick since it takes up three slots. Considering Sapphire’s Nitro series is usually the higher-end line, it is interesting that the more ‘affordable’ Pulse series has such a beefy cooling system. This version of the RX Vega 56 measures 125 mm x 50 mm x 282 mm and uses a pair of 8-pin power connectors. That means a requirement of a 750W minimum power supply.

Out of the box, this Pulse RX Vega 56 has a 1208MHz core clock frequency with a 1512MHz boost. In terms of connectivity, the rear IO has 3x DP 1.4 ports, and one 1x HDMI 2.0b port. Like XFX’ custom RX Vega video card, the power connectors are weirdly in the middle. The heatsink itself is twice the length of the actual PCB and it uses nickel-plating on the copper heatpipes. There are five heatpipes in total, which explains why the heatsink is so massive. Like the Nitro series, the Pulse video cards use a pair of 90mm dual ball bearing fans for active cooling. There is also a backplate present to cover the rear of the PCB. Meanwhile, the shroud has a design that is completely open on the back and sides. This allows for the active cooling fans to blow heat off the heatsink quickly, rather than just through the rear.

Pricing Information and Release Date

The store listing puts the price of the card at €789. The shipping date is set for January 31st, which is most likely the launch date. In case you have not been keeping up with video card news, that price is actually normal now. Huge demand from cryptocurrency miners, plus shortage of memory supply is driving these prices sky high.
