Sapphire Pure Platinum A85XT (A85X) Motherboard Review

I’m always a fan of the packaging on Sapphire motherboards as it always seems give off a quality impression through simplicity. The front of the box is quite sparse in terms of information with a few logos and features scattered around. This includes 32GB memory support, Bluetooth and USB 3.0 to name a few of the main key features.
The rear of the box is reserved to show a bit more information on the main specifications of the board. This is split into three areas including speed, features and reliability. A short blurb about the board and what’s included is also printed on the packaging and which range of APU products AMD recommend to couple with this board and its A85X chipset.
Opening things up and taking a look inside, we can see we’ve got a fairly standard bunch of accessories with a product registration leaflet, quick install guide, installation DVD and casebadge sticker.
We do also find a large selection of black SATA cables and a plain looking rear I/O panel shield plate.
A nice addition to the bundle is a Sapphire branded USB 3.0 front bay and optional rear expansion bracket and of course a variety of mounting screws.
