Sapphire Unveils Radeon RX 580 NITRO+ Special Edition

Earlier in the year, AMD unveiled their new RX 500 lineup. Largely a tweaked refresh of the previous Polaris lineup, the new RX 500 cards have mostly arrived on the market. Despite this, there are still a few RX 500 cards launching. Notably, Sapphire is now revealing their new AMD Radeon RX 580 NITRO+ Special Edition. Set to debut at Computex later this month, the Special Edition offers a few upgrades over the regular NITRO.

The new Speical Edition builds on top of the already successful NITRO+ Radeon RX 580 Limited Edition. Sapphire has decided to offer even more customizability with the new card. The Special Edition eschews the normal grey, black and red colour scheme, opting for a vibrant blue. The blue colour on the shroud and backplate give the card a vibrant glow. Sapphire is also offering a separate red shroud and backplate upgrade kit as well. The card also ships with an unknown high factory overclock as well. NITRO Glow RGB LED and semi-passive Dual-X cooling round out the package.

In addition to the new Special Edition, Sapphire also has some new upgrade options for regular users. With the launch of the RX 500 series, Sapphire introduced a Quick Connect fan swapping feature. The company is now launching their new NITRO Gear series of accessories to augment customizability. The new NITRO Gear fans come in single packs of one 95mm fan each. Three colour options, white, red and blue LED are available. Unfortunately, it does not look like the fans are RGB nor are they controllable.
