Just when you thought playing Payday 2 couldn’t get any better, the developers at Overkill Software reveal the Scarface DLC! Not only does that sound awesome straightaway, but it gets even better when you find out that Tony Montana is actually playable within the new Scarface Character DLC Pack. Oh, and he brought his “Little Friend” as well as a chainsaw as part of the new Kingpin class.
The Kingpin class sounds pretty awesome in its own right, allowing Tony to give himself an injection of adrenaline. This allows him to soak up even more damage while taking down his enemies with the mighty M16. Unfortunately, Overkill Software couldn’t get Pachino to voice Tony Montana, but they did get the voice actor who played the role in Scarface: The World is Yours, so that keeps a little bit of gaming continuity going at least.
Of course, new DLC means a new heist, and you’ll find yourself able to infiltrate the Sosa Cartel’s Mansion, which featured in the Scarface movie, where you’ll need to steal back a shipment of the white stuff and deal with Sosa. New weapons also include a big ol’ 80’s telephone, quad-barrelled rocket launchers and more.
If you just want to play Scarface without paying up for the heist, only one member of your heist party needs to own the map in order for it to be playable. The Scarface Heist DLC Pack goes for $6.99/£4.99 while the Character Pack costs $4.99/£3.99.
