Scythe’s GlideStream series has just received a brand new member named GlideStream 120 PWM SC, which incorporates the company’s well-known features as well as a brand new 3-way limited switch. Featuring a small hub and large blades design that ensures increased airflow at low fan speeds, this should be a good cooling solution for those of you who appreciate a quiet rig, especially since it also comes with PWM support. The 3-step switch is definitely its most important feature, as it allows the user to limit the fan speed to either 800, 1.150 or 1.500 RPM. The GlideStream 120 PWM SC is incredibly silent on the first setting, in which in runs from 300 to 800 RPM.
There are other things that make this fan noteworthy, though, including a set of insulating rubber mounters that reduce vibrations transferred from the fan to the case, as well as a grooved blade design that minimizes air resistance. Other highlights include installation holes without tunnels, which support an easy installation process, and a 3-pin to 4-pin adapter. The Scythe GlideStream 120 PWM SC fan features an MSRP of just €7,50, which is rather affordable considering its unique perks.
