Seagate Black Panther Special Edition FireCuda Review

A Closer Look
The latest Game Drive comes in the familiar form factor that we’ve seen from Seagate in the past. It’s a 2.5″ drive in a durable plastic case. It’s a nice material finish though, it’s got a softer plastic feel that’s like a very hard rubber giving it a matte look rather than a glossy one.
Obviously, the wonderful Master Chief has stepped in for modelling duties today, or at least, an Xbox controller stand that looks like him… Alas, you can see the fantastic design of the Black Panther on the front, and those cool textured lines that look like his suit material.
It’s a very special drive too, as it contains a percentage of real vibranium, albeit that percentage is zero. It does look cool though, there’s a real deep inkiness to the black finish.
On the front edge, there’s a small Black Panther name stripe and a strip of LED lighting.
Obviously, that’s a lot easier to see when it’s powered on. The lovely Magenta hue looks great too, and really complements the drive design nicely.
There’s a matching plum coloured back panel too, giving it a nice two-tone look, and there’s a really cool Black Panther logo here too, as well as the usual serial number sticker.
Overall, another gorgeous looking drive from Seagate!
