Seagate Reveals New SSDs For The PS5 With Up To 2TB Capacities

With the growing storage needs of games, more storage is always welcome and with that comes Seagate with their new licensed Gen 4 NVMe drive for the PS5.

This new SSD from Seagate has been designed with the PS5 specifically in mind and uses the latest PCIe Gen 4 technology to provide high-speed storage for the PS5. The SSD uses the Seagate-validated E18 controller and 3D TLC NAND to provide enhanced speed and durability with sequential read speeds of up to 7,300MB/s. The drive is fitted with a slim heatsink that fits comfortably within the PS5 and keeps the drive cool and performance at its expected levels.

Price and Availability

This SSD is available in capacities of 1TB and 2TB with an endurance rating of 1.8M MTBF and up to 2550 TBW alongside a five-year limited warranty. The 1TB model is available for $99.99 and the 2TB model for $159.99, visit seagate.com for more information.
