A Closer Look – Exterior
Power Supply Unit
The top of the Seasonic Platinum Fanless 520 is heavily ventilated to allow the heat to rise through convection and then be carried out of your case by the airflow provided by any case fans.
At the bottom there is the power sticker which details all of the amps and wattages across the main rails as well as some additional ventilation holes.
Both sides also have ventilation but the left side has no branding since it is meant to be facing the side panel which won’t have a window in. Remember this PSU is intended to be bottom mounted in a case with the top vent facing upwards.
The cable end shows us that it is fully modular and includes extra ventilation. There’s also a reminder of which way the power supply should be mounted.
At the back we find lots more ventilation and a notice that this PSU accepts input voltages ranging from 100v to 240v.
Cabling
The modular cables include a motherboard 24 pin, a CPU 8pin and two cables with two PCIe 6+2 pins on them.
Peripheral connectors include one cable with three molex, one with four SATA, one with two SATA, one with two molex and a molex to FDD adapter.
