A Closer Look – Exterior
Power Supply Unit
Seasonic’s Platinum 660 has a fairly understated look, nothing stands out about the design. For most people this is a nice thing because it means it will fit in with most builds. The top aesthetic is dominated by the black 120mm cooling fan.
The bottom is totally plain black.
One side has the Seasonic branding on but apart from that is largely plain.
The front has all the modular connectors on and a sticker informing you about the Hybrid fan control. The switch rocks between Hybrid and Normal, it comes by default in Hybrid mode.
The other side has the label which details the rail and wattage statistics of the unit.
The back offers ventilation, a kettle lead input, a power switch and a Seasonic logo which points out that it has input voltage adjustment for use with 100-240 VAC lines.
Cabling
The included cables are abundant. Up first we have a modular 24 pin, a CPU 8 pin, CPU 4+4 pin, and four PCIe 6+2 pins on individual cables. All cables are black and the motherboard 24 pin is black and with sleeving.
The next set of cabling is for SATA and molex. You get two molex on one cable, four SATA on another cable, four SATA on another cable, two SATA on another cable, three molex on another cable and a molex to FDD adapter.
