Second Generation Smarter Coffee UK Availability Announced

Smarter announced that their second generation smart Coffee maker will become available in the UK by the end of this month. Smarter Coffee is a WiFi connected coffee maker that learns your behaviour while using geo-caching and schedules to always have a fresh pot of coffee ready. And isn’t that a dream? And if it isn’t ready, you can command the Smarter Coffee to make one via Alexa or Google Home.
Personalised Coffee
Personalised coffee takes on a new meaning with this coffee maker. It grinds the beans fresh for each pot and brews it with your prefered strength, temperature, and quantity. That in itself isn’t ground-breaking.
The coffee maker learns and remembers when you have your morning cup of coffee. It can also be programmed to use specific timers, the old-fashioned way. But it can also use geocaching to know when you’re back from your run. The mobile app will also let you make an extra pot on command whenever you need that extra bit of nectar.
Voice activation is another possibility. You can integrate it with Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Home for a full integration into your smart home. Smarter Coffee can be connected with other smart devices too, Philips Hue Lights, for example. Using IFTTT, you could light up a path from your bedroom to your kitchen.
Pricing and Availability
Smarter Coffee 2nd Generation will be in stores at the end of October. It will retail for £179.99 in the UK and be available from Amazon, Currys, Lakeland, Bentalls and Selfridges.
“We are excited to have our 2nd Generation of Smarter Coffee going into stores this month. All the indicators show that consumers are ready to put technology to work to make their daily lives simpler and more convenient via connected appliances,” said Smarter CEO and founder Christian Lane. “Like our latest iKettle (3rd Gen) that was launched in the middle of this year, Smarter Coffee is delivering an unprecedented level of connection to our customers, now linking to the rest of their smart home.”
