Second Star Wars The Last Jedi Trailer Released

Coinciding with the availability of Star Wars The Last Jedi tickets finally going on sale, LucasFilm has released the second trailer. This time it is more than a simple teaser, but a 2-minute 30-second video with dialogue. As usual, it is full of gorgeous visuals.
Mysterious villain Snoke opens the trailer with his voice, talking to somebody who he sees as having “raw, untamed power”. While the visuals on-screen show Kylo Ren, many fans and theories floating around suggest that it is actually Rey who the dark lord is referring to.
This Jedi-Sith duality and conflict goes back and forth in the trailer showing both Kylo Ren and Rey as continued conflict rages on the galaxy. The theories of Rey being seduced by the dark side are further emboldened by Luke Skywalker’s admittance that he fears Rey’s power in the trailer. “Something, something inside me has always been there,” says a voice over by Rey.
Of course, this is a J.J. Abrams production after all. He has always been very savvy in social media and aware of what people expect. Its not quite his film making skills that make him sought after, but rather his marketing instincts. So this duality could be a red herring as well to make people think the fan theories are correct.
Either way, we all have to wait and see when the movie comes out on December 14. You can purchase the tickets now from your favorite theaters. However, good luck getting some for the premiere date. Almost all appear to be sold out after only a day. For now, enjoy the full trailer below.
