SecretLab Launches 2018 Omega Gaming Chair Models
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
It is almost the end of the year, so SecretLab is launching the 2018 update to their flagship Omega series gaming chairs. The Singapore-based company initially only sold hardware in the US and Australian market, but expanded to the EU and UK market two months ago.
The Omega 2018 has a different look, much sleeker and modern than the 2017 model. Its construction also has improvements, including more comfortable armrests and lumbar pillow. Each chair uses prime polyurethane leather with high-density cold-cure foam underneath. Each chair foam is molded, not cut, so it is stronger and has higher consistency. The lumbar pillow uses memory foam, with a new velour cover. This is so that it molds around the user’s body better, providing a natural arch to the lower back.
The new armrest increases space with a slight concave down its length. The padding is also much softer and thicker so that there is less strain on resting arms. The hydraulic piston also gets an upgrade, now catering to a wider range of user’s heights.
Also Launching SecretLab Throne Series 2018
Although not a flagship chair, the Throne series is actually the first chair by SecretLab. It is meant to provide a comfortable seat for a lower cost than most gaming chairs out there. Like the Omega series, it uses cold-cure foam with polyurethane lether. It also has a full-tilt mechanism, adjustable armrests and multiple color choices. The design is sportier than the Omega and Titan series, so some color options are exclusive to the Throne series only. The 2018 update brings a sleeker color scheme, and superior construction with a new lumbar pillow.
