SEGA has teased that it “may be working on” HD XBLA/PSN ports of both Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia.
The news came via an interview with SEGA’s brand manager Ben Harborne, who said that the firm was already well aware of what Dreamcast games fans would like to see remade for HD digital platforms.
“I can tell you what it’s going to be, it’s going to be Shenmue. And Skies Of Arcadia too,” he said.
“They’re a couple of our most requested games. I can’t say ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but we may be working on them.”
SEGA is currently working on an XBLA/PSN re-release of stylish skater Jet Set Radio, which is due out this summer.
An XBLA release of Shenmue was first rumoured back in April 2010 when a source known as ‘XBOX360LEAKER’ posted an image on NeoGAF alleging to be a screenshot from a secret Xbox 360 test network game library. The image featured an icon of Shenmue star Ryu Hazuki’s head.
