Serious Sam, a first-person-shooter game providing an insane experience, have recently seen a third edition to the series, BFE, to which the production, Croteam, has added a little additive to the pirate copies of the game.
Players enjoying the beginning on the game on an illegal copy of Serious Sam 3: BFE will soon see their enjoyment cease due to a ruthless invincible mutant scorpion that spawns on the first level.
You can’t run away from it, neither can you outgun him, and trying to reason won’t do you any good. There is no other solution but death. See for yourself:
Even though using Steamworks for DRM, cracked versions have still found their way to the torrent sites. Obviously this devilish arachnid will take the joy out of the pirates, but there is no way to permanently stop them as you can bet for a future cracked version with the ‘anti-pirate foe’ removed.
However, Croteam has been rather successful in the eyes of their fans and followers as they have been acclaimed by the humorous way in which they have tried to prevent unauthorized players from enjoying the game, although it isn’t a unique touch as plenty of developers have used similar way in the past.
