Intels Raptor Lake Refresh is yet to be announced but current rumours are pointing towards October 16th for a reveal which seems plausible as more benchmarks for these processors have been spotted on Geekbench.

14th Gen Tested On Geekbench 6

The Geekbench browser allows you to search for specific processors and for today you can see tests for the i9 14900K, 14700K and 14600K, some of Intel’s upcoming Raptor Lake refresh processors. Starting off with the big dog, the 14900K which features 24 cores 8E 16P which is the same as its predecessor. In the various results the single-core score ranged from 2992 to 3311 which seems mostly on par with the 13900K scores although a smaller sample size is of course at play. The multi-core score ranged from as low as 17359 to as high as 24878 which looks to be minor improvements over the 13900K.

The 14900KF is the same story as expected since it is just the iGPU-less version of the chip. Something interesting about the KF chips however is the Alienware Aurora R16 which is stated as one of the tested systems, either someone is benchmarking with an Alienware system or we’ll be seeing a new Aurora R16 featuring this chip.

i7-14700K

The most interesting chip from this new generation is the i7-14700K which is the only chip to see an increase in cores over its predecessor from 8P-8E to 8P-12E which may see some improvements in the multi-core score. Compared to the 14900K, there are fewer results with single-core scores ranging from 2913 to 3365 which is around the range of the 13700K. The Multi-Core score ranged from 18082 to 21883 with 4/5 scores over 20000 which is quite good compared to the 13700K where most scores are under 20000 although take that with a grain of salt with the small sample size. The KF variant only has one submission which is among the higher rungs at 21196 Multi-Core 3097 Single core.

i5-14600K

Finally, the i5-14600K comes in with 7 submissions for both the K and KF variants which feature single-core scores ranging from 2779 to 2861 which is within the range of the 13600K but not enough to make any judgements. The Multi-Core score ranges quite wide from 13769 all the way to 17974 which is again an expected result.

Final Thoughts

These chips are of course just a refresh and big increases in performance aren’t something that is expected so these numbers, whilst limited, are giving us a rough idea before their launch. It’s also quite interesting how many of these results are up, I don’t think Intel would be very pleased with these being loosely listed on Geekbench before the official announcements of these chips.

We’ll have to wait until October 16th before we may see an official announcement for these chips, something we do know though is the predicted prices:

  • 14900K – €799.96 (Coolmod.com, USD Price Currently Unknown)
  • 14900KF – $779
  • 14700K – $589
  • 14700KF – $549
  • 14600K – $449
  • 14600KF – $399
