Shadow Warrior 2 is Four Times More Successful Than Its Predecessor

The original Shadow Warrior was created way back in 1997 and followed the chaotic actions of Lo Wang. Despite being quite old, the game remains really fresh and it’s clear how innovative the fluid swordplay mechanics were at the time. Some time ago, the Polish studio, Flying Wild Hog revisited the series and released a game with the same name. Shadow Warrior (2013) is an absolute classic, and incredibly fun to play. Not only that, it’s a visual masterpiece and looks fantastic on a wide range of PCs. Thankfully, the reboot was enough of a success for Flying Wild Hog to release a sequel. So far, the appetite for Shadow Warrior franchise seems much higher and the sequel is already four times more successful than its predecessor. Michal Szustak, Studio Director at Flying Wild Hog said about Shadow Warrior 2’s reaction so far:
“We could not be happier with the reception of Shadow Warrior 2. We’re a small studio with only about 75 people, and each of us poured our hearts and souls into making a bigger, different experience for Shadow Warrior 2. That our fans and critics have largely applauded our efforts means the absolute world to us.”
The developer also unveiled a captivating video showing behind the scenes footage:
I’m really pleased for the folks at Flying Wild Hog and believe their attitude towards DRM and PC-friendly nature deserves a great deal of credit. Not only that, Shadow Warrior 2 is optimised superbly and well worth checking out if you’re tired of dull, overly serious action games.
