A Closer Look
At first glance of the flash drive, you will see that the bulk of it is black and is made from brushed metal to give a pleasing effect on the eyes. It follows the same idea as the packaging with the EX USB 3.0 logo which tells us that it’s part of the EXtreme product range and features USB 3.0 connectivity.
The other side follows the same material styling but has the Sharkoon website address. You can find lots more information on this and many other Sharkoon products at www.sharkoon.com.
The flash drive comes with a plastic cap for protecting it when its not in use. This simply aids in stopping dust and other foreign elements from making contact with the USB connector. The cap fits onto the end of the drive snuggly and gives no fear of losing it, though sadly the cap cannot be placed on the end of the drive when in use.
The USB connect sports the stylish blue connector that makes it easy to differentiate between different speed USB connections. By having a blue connector, it informs the user that this is a USB 3.0 based device.
The opposite end of the drive features a clear plastic which when the drive is plugged in and in use, will flash with an omitting blue LED. There is a small hole for putting a cable or string of some kind through so that the drive can be attached to a lanyard or similar corded loop.
