Sharkoon is adding one more product to their SKILLER gaming line. This time it is the SGH2 gaming headset. Much like the previous SKILLER keyboards and headsets, the SGH2 is extremely affordable.
Just because it is affordable, it does not mean it lacks features. In fact, it is quite surprising how much Sharkoon packs in this headset. It uses large 50mm drivers with a frequency response range of 20 to 20,000 Hz with a 50mW output. It also has a built-in volume control on the ear cup, which is convenient for gamers. The microphone is not detachable, but it is omni-directional and is flexible for re-positioning.
Unlike other headsets which use a 3.5mm connector, the SGH2 uses USB. Unlike other USB headsets however, the cabling has a sleeve cover. This prevents damage and also makes it look like a premium product. The USB connector allows for power to be fed to the headset as well so that there is a blue LED illumination on the ear cups. USB headsets have their own soundcards built-in but it is plug-and-play on Windows PCs. Acording to Sharkoon, the SGH2 is also compatible with PlayStation 4.
Sharkoon’s SKILLER SGH2 USB Gaming Headset is now available for an SRP of 24.99 Euros from retailers.
