Sharkoon Introduces SKILLER MECH SGK3 Keyboard

Sharkoon just introduced their SKILLER MECH SGK2 keyboard two months ago, now they are announcing the 104-key, macro-less RGB variant called the SGK3. It has RGB LED illumination with over 20 pre-programmed effects. Users can even adjust up to five brightness level options. The SKILLER MECH SGK3 use Kailh microswitches, available in blue, red and brown. These are Cherry MX clones providing similar clicky-tactile, non-clicky-linear, and non-clicky-tactile feel respectively.

The MECH SGK3 also shares the durable metal top plate of the SGK2 and has N-key rollover via USB, which is adjustable to 6KRO for compatibility. Aside from the rollover features, it lets users disable the Windows key so that there are no accidental interruptions while playing.

When not playing, the MECH SGK3 remains functional and has plenty of helpful function key presets. This includes multimedia controls, volume controls and launch shortucts. The lighting effect can also be altered directly from the keyboard, without the need for software. Although there is an SGK3 software available for users who want to fully customize it. This not only lets users control the LED, but also set up macros. This more than makes up for the lack of dedicated macro keys like the SGK2.

Pricing and Availability

The keyboard is available for the suggested retail price of 64.90 euros. Users can choose between US or German layout, as well as red, blue or brown switches.
