Sharkoon Reveal Affordable RGB Slider White Case

Sharkoon has just revealed their new “RGB Slider White” PC case, and while I don’t often get too excited by sub £50 PC cases, this one really does look pretty decent. While it features a simple and minimalistic design, it still comes with an impressive range of features for this price range. It comes equipped with RGB LED lighting on the front panel, a tempered glass side panel, a built-in PSU shroud, and much more. Again, not bad for a budget-friendly case!

It’s a nice look case overall, with a really clean and crisp look to it thanks to the white interior and exterior. There are a few bits of black on the dust filters and a few screws, but overall, that just help provide a bit of contrast.

It looks like there’s plenty of room in here for a good size GPU, some robust cooling solutions and plenty of airflow too. There’s even a decent amount of cable routing space. However, with the PSU shroud, you can cram all the excess out of sight anyway.

What Sharkoon Had to Say

“With its new white finish, the RGB Slider presents itself again with a minimalist and unobtrusive look. The restrained presentation is only interrupted by the RGB-LED strip, which provides visual variety on the white front panel. Part of the strip has a subtle form which seems to slide across its otherwise straight line, thus giving the PC case its name. Using the built-in RGB controller, the front of the case can be illuminated in fourteen preset color modes. It can also be freely adjusted using the software of compatible mainboards with the support of Asus Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte Fusion and ASRock Polychrome Sync. Additional RGB components with a 5 V-D-coded-G or 5 V-D-G pinout can be connected in the case using the installed RGB controller.” – Sharkoon

Clear Hardware Presentation

The side panel made of tempered glass on the left side of the case provides a clear view of the interior and the installed components. Because it is rested into the frame of the case and then secured at the rear panel, the surface of the side panel remains free of visible screws.

Various Options for Installing Fans

In order to ensure that the individual components have adequate cooling, the RGB Slider White case, like its black counterpart, offers a number of options for fan installation. In addition to the pre-installed 120 mm fan in the rear, there is also space for up to three optional 120 mm fans behind the front panel. In addition, up to two 120 mm fans or two 140 mm fans can be accommodated under the top panel. As an option, another 120 mm fan can be mounted on top of the power supply tunnel.

Designed for Data Storage

The case of the RGB Slider offers enough space to accommodate several data storage drives at the same time. Altogether, three SSDs can be mounted on the mainboard tray and on the top of the power supply tunnel. The HDD/SSD cage mounted inside the tunnel can accommodate up to two 3.5″ HDDs and, if necessary, additional SSDs.

Extensive Hardware Build

As with the previous version, larger types of hardware can also be built into the casing of the RGB Slider White, despite its compact dimensions. A CPU cooler up to 15.7 cm in size can be installed in the case, leaving enough space for a graphics card of up to 33.5 cm.

Price and availability

The RGB Slider White is available now and you should check with your local retailers. However, the MSRP is just 44,99 euros, which should translate to under £50 here in the UK.
