Build Quality

At a little over £100, you either expect a lot of high-end build quality and materials or a lot of features, and Sharkoon has gone for the more features aspect. This looks and feels closer to a £70 case in my opinion, with some glossy plastics, and quite a lot of plastic on the front panel in general. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course, it looks good and I love that the side panels and all the filters are very tightly flush fitted, so nothing sticks out where it shouldn’t.

The top dust filter is quite thin, but hey, it’s only got to stop dust! A slightly stronger magnet wouldn’t go a miss though, as it’s fairly easy to slide it out of place. However, the underlying hexagon mesh mount is nice and robust.

There are four hard plastic feet with small rubber pads on the bottom of the case, giving the PSU filter a bit of clearance. There’s a clip in mesh filter here too, pretty basic stuff, but also pretty common even on more expensive cases anyway.

I thought the front panel was just mid-sized mesh filtering, which you just hoover out once in a while… and it is, but behind it is a proper dust filter.

It’s just a flimsy magnetic thing like the top filter, so it does slide around a bit too easily, but hey, it’s there, and it’ll get the job done.

Around the back, there are thumb screws for each side panel, so you can open it tool-free. There’s a height adjustment on the rear fan mount, which is great for AIO compatibility.

Unfortunately, only the top expansion slot has a reusable cover, the rest are those nasty snap-off ones… can’t say I’m overly impressed really.

The interior of the case is well equipped, with large cut-outs behind the motherboard, and routing holes above, to the right, and below the motherboard, making for easy cable management. There are removable metal brackets for SSDs right on the shroud too.

Behind the motherboard, there are also removable tool-free trays for HDD, and they also support SSDs if you’re using the included screws.

The included fans appear to be good quality, with anti-vibration mounts, and front and rear diffusers for the built-in ARGB lighting. The fans are Sharkoon TC1225L 16RGB 120mm, and there are six of them in total.
