Sharkoon RGB HEX ATX PC Case Review

We haven’t had many Sharkoon products on eTeknix in recent years, and that’s a real shame, as while they certainly started out as a budget brand, they’ve been expanding their product range pretty consistently over the years, and now have a pretty broad range of products spanning all budgets. The new Sharkoon RGB HEX is a little more on the high-end, with a price of around £100-110 it’s going into the market against some very serious competition from… well, from every major case brand in the world, all of whom have something pretty special for around the same money.

It is well equipped though, and on paper at least, it’s ticking the right boxes. It has support for an ATX motherboard, it comes with six 120mm RGB fans pre-installed, which is really nice. There is addressable RGB lighting with built-in controls, three removable dust filters, tempered glass, a PSU shroud, and more, which is pretty much what we’ve come to expect in this price range, so nothing innovative, but it doesn’t look like there’s anything missing either. I suspect the inclusion of all those RGB fans are a fair chunk of the MSRP too, as that’s certainly more fans than most cases come with.

Features

  • Six 120mm RGB LED fans for optimal cooling results
  • Mesh front with hex design
  • I/O bezel with USB Type-C port
  • Tempered glass side panel
  • 8-way RGB control for addressable LEDs
  • Optional radiator installation in front and top

What Sharkoon Had to Say

“Impressive looks with high performance: The RGB Hex not only makes a cool appearance with the 3D hexagon design of its air-permeable front panel, but it also stays cool – no matter how hot the game gets. This is ensured thanks to the six pre-installed fans, which, in addition, are fully RGB addressable. Furthermore, the midi-ATX case has plenty of space for hardware as well as a modern USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port and a tempered glass side panel.” – Sharkoon
