The back plate is equipped with a decent size cut-out that should make for easy CPU cooler installations, as well as a few rudimentary cable management holes. While the cable management isn’t fitted with rubber grommets it is just out of sight from the side panel window so with a little care you should still be able to get a clean-looking build.
Here we can better see the pre-installed 120mm exhaust fan and while it’s not the best quality fan in the world it’s more than enough for most mid-range system builds.
One of the more unique features of the Rex 8 Value are the drive bays. All of which are 5.25″ compatible and feature four adaptor brackets, these can hold 3.5″ and 2.5″ drives and also feature 120mm fan mounts, so you can add extra cooling to help keep your hard drives cool. In this shot you can also just about make out the native USB 3.0 header as well as some of the connection cables for the front fan, both the front and back pre-installed fan come fitted with a 3pin to molex adaptor to ensure maximum compatibility with you system.
The back of the chassis features virtually no room for cable management, so all your cable management or excess cable behind the motherboard has to fit within the confines of the recessed side panel. While this isn’t ideal it’s not really that bad and it can be heavily assisted thanks to the plentiful cable tie loops that are scattered around the back of the chassis and the included bundle of cable ties that came with the chassis.
