Sharkoon Unveils SGK50 S2 96% Layout Keyboard

Sharkoon has just revealed their new SKILLER SGK50 S2 gaming keyboard. IT features a slightly more compact 96 percent layout, which isn’t a particularly common layout, but it does look great! Skarkoon says that it features all the advantages of their popular hot-swap gaming keyboards and that the switches and keycaps of the S2 can be hot swapped as and when desired.

It’s well equipped with function keys, and comes with customisation support thanks to VIA and QMK compatibility. A polycarbonate plate and double-layer silicone damping also ensure that this mechanical keyboard sounds just as good as it looks.

It comes with pre-Installed Gateron Switches, with a choice of red, brown, or yellow. Whichever version of the SKILLER SGK50 S2 you choose is up to you. Do you prefer linear or tactile feedback switches?

OF course, with hot swap, you can add your own 3-pin or 5-pin switches easily enough and really make it your own.

Full Form Factor

The SKILLER SGK50 S2 is the right choice for those who enjoy full functionality on a full keyboard layout. With 100 to 101 keys, the keyboard has a compact 3-block format that is 96 percent of a conventional keyboard.

Full Customization Thanks to Open Source

Instead of any bothersome software installation, the SKILLER SGK50 S2 relies on simple steps to adjust the RGB illumination or set up macros. In addition, full customization is available through the open-source software VIA and QMK.

Rich Keyboard Sound

To ensure that the keyboard sounds as good as it looks, we have installed a polycarbonate positioning plate and double-layer silicone damping for a rich, deep sound.

Stylish USB Coiled Cable

Like all keyboards in the SGK50 series, the S2 also comes with a detachable coiled cable, which has a USB-C to USB-A connection and provides a particularly chic look for any setup.

SKILLER SGK50 S2 PBT

With a firm operating force of 50 ± 15 g and an immersive, linear feedback, the pre-installed yellow switches of the latest Gateron generation are the optimum to be found beneath the high-quality and abrasion-resistant PBT keycaps of the SKILLER SGK50 S2 PBT.

SKILLER SGK50 S2 Barebone

The SKILLER SGK50 S2 Barebone will be the perfect choice for those who already have a good idea about the keycaps and switches they really want to have. This is because the keyboard is supplied without any pre-installed switches and keycaps, allowing for the complete personalization of the layout.

Price and Availability

The SKILLER SGK50 S2 is now available as a standard version or a PBT version at a recommended retail price of 89.90 euros and 109.90 euros. The keyboards come with a DE or a BE layout. A barebone version will also be available shortly at a recommended retail price of 79.90 euros. All keyboard versions are available in black or white.
