A Closer LookAs soon as the headphones are out of the box and packaging, you can immediately feel how well made they are. Unlike some headsets that can feel too bulky or too slim, too heavy or too light etc, the X-Tatic SX seems to have found a point of harmony where everything feels just right. Whether this is to be so, we’ll find out a little later.
In the same way that the box is clean and crisp, Sharkoon have styled the headset itself in a very similar way, the vast majority is in pure white with lime green highlights.
Areas that would be likely to end up dirty through use such as the underside of the headband, ear cups and cable are all finished in dark grey.
Unlike some headsets that have either a static mic that is fixed in place or swings up and out of the way, the microphone here simply twists and disconnects when not needed.
Around the top of the headband is the branding of the product printed onto the faux leather.
Around 75cm from the headset is the in-line amplifier / volume control. On one side is a volume control and the other side has a 3.5mm socket for connecting the chat cable to your Xbox controller as well as a mic volume control.
On the top is a mute switch for the mic.
