Sharkoon X-Tatic SX Stereo Headset Review

Final Thoughts[COLOR=black]The X-Tatic SX headphones on a whole are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time which is a stong advantage against its contenders, the padded head band doesn’t give the user any pressure on the top of the head causing any discomfort and the well padded cups follow this through. Along with the cross-platform compatibility for the Xbox 360, the inline volume and microphone controls made this an easy headset to get to grips with.
The only real areas of downfall are the lack of 5.1 support and the static interference that can be heard whilst no sound is being played. This seems to be down to the USB power connection and the inline amplifier.
The only other shortfall is compatibility for the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360. Do not let this put you off the range though as Sharkoon do have a virtually identical set of headphones that do work with both the PS3 and 360, and are distinguished from the X-Tatic SX by their black coloured body and the name X-Tatic SP. Be sure to look out for the review on these soon.
