Shonan Jump To Launch Digital Subscription Platform

Manga Fans Are Going To Love This
For anyone who loves their manga, they will know that Shonan Jump is (fairly undisputedly) the biggest magazine around. Releasing weekly in Japan (and syndicated throughout the world) the magazine features some of the best-known series in the manga and anime world. These include; Bleach, One Piece, Deathnote, One Punch Man, Tokyo Ghoul, Fist of the North Star, Naruto, Dragonball Z and I could go on and on. By this point, you should get it though. They’re huge!
Well, it seems that the platform is looking to expand further into the West. Rather than in a physical comic book form though, Viz media (the distributor in the West) is set to launch a subscription service online.
What Will It Offer?
For just $1.99 a month, users will be able to access magazine releases on the exact same day of their publication in Japan. Rather than an outright magazine though, they will receive individual chapters. In addition to this though (and perhaps the most interesting point on offer), they will also allow users access to over 10,000 chapters of the back-catalogue.
For manga lovers, this is not an offer to be sniffed at! Regardless of if you want the latest content or access to a huge history of it!
What Do We Think?
Honestly, for $1.99 a month, this seems like a pretty huge bargain to me. As above though, rather than having access to the latest chapter of One Piece (I’m still catching up majorly) you can access so much more. The subscription service is set to launch on December 17th and you can check it out by visiting the website in the link here!
