Shuttle Announces the XPC Nano NC02U SFF Systems

The times where a great system had to be large are long gone and Shuttle is without a doubt one of the market leaders when it comes to compact small form factor (SFF) systems. The lasted creation of theirs is the XPCV Nano NC02U system which isn’t just small but also comes with a variety of options and expandability.

The XPC NC02U Ultra Small Form Factor Series supports the latest Skylake-U platform and provides the choice between embedded Celeron, Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 CPUs for all the power you need while maintaining the small size and VESA mounting capabilities for an uncluttered workspace.

“Like all of Shuttle’s computers, the new NC02U can be custom configured, which sets us apart from many other computer manufacturers with competing products,” said Marty Lash, director sales and marketing, Shuttle Computer Group. “And the ultra-small form factor design makes it perfect for integrators who work in digital signage, kiosks, POS, and the SOHO and SMB markets.”

The NC02U doesn’t lack features despite the small size of the system which barely is bigger than a grown man’s hand. You can mount a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD with a height of up to 15mm which allows for pretty much any drive in this form factor. On top of that, you’re also able to install a PCIe or SATA-based M.2 2280 SSD.

Externally it features an HDMI port, a full-sized DisplayPort, RS232 serial connection, USB Type-C and USB Type-A as well as Gigabit Ethernet and headphone options. There’s even a built-in SD card reader for quick file transfers from your portable units.

The embedded CPU can be coupled with the memory of your choice as it supports up to 32GB through the two 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM slots .

The XPC Nano NC02U computers come with a three-year limited warranty and should be available now through Shuttle’s distribution partners.
