Power Consumption and Temperatures

This is quite a surprise too, as this is a custom motherboard design. It uses a fair bit less power than the ATX motherboard we tested our i9-9900K on. About 40 watts at full load. However, this isn’t plastered in RGB lighting, and overclocking hardware. In fact, it doesn’t overclock at all, so it’s just focused on stock performance efficiency, and it shows.

The built-in CPU cooler is pretty modest, but not lacking in abilities. With the i9-9900K at full load, it was audible. However, I wouldn’t call it loud, which is surprising for a 92mm fan. The CPU hit 92c, which is a bit toasty, but at peak load, that’s not a shock for such a powerful CPU. At idle, the whole thing was barely giving off a whisper, so very impressed with this overall.
