Now, this is the part I was most interested in seeing. The Cube uses a custom built cooler design that’s not particularly big. However, it does have good airflow in the chassis, a good rear mounted configuration, and should perform well. The cooled did do a good job too, with the mighty 7700K peaking at 77c, which isn’t too sad in an office that’s about 24c today. The GTX 1080 Ti hit 80c, however, this is a reference cooled card and not aftermarket one, so that’s basically the same as we saw in the standalone GPU review. So far so good, well-done Shuttle. Best of all, at 47 dBa, it wasn’t particularly noisy compared to any other system either. Pulling 388 watts from the wall, it’s clear that the 500w PSU is more than enough, and that leaves a little room for more power hungry GPU/CPU combinations.
