We’ll be testing the available storage connections to the best possible with AIDA64’s Disk Benchmark. Compact systems like this don’t have that many ports available which mean that we’ll need to test the OS drive in some cases, such as here. The application doesn’t allow us to use write tests on the OS drive as it destroys the volume by doing so, but they will be added to anything else.
SATA OS Drive
The OS drive is a Crucial BX200 SSD that has been picked as a budget option because a system like this will be equipped with such a drive in many cases.
USB 3.0 SSD
To test the USB 3.0 speeds, we’ll be using our trusted Angelbird SSD2go Pocket 512GB portable SSD.
