Introduction
Shuttle XPC SZ170R8
Building a new system can be a demanding job, picking compatible parts, such as the chassis, power supply, storage, motherboard, CPU and more. So what if you could simplify the process and buy all the core components, the chassis, power supply and motherboard, in one complete package? The new XPC from Shuttle offers exactly that, everything you need to form the basis of your new system build, just drop in the CPU, memory, and storage and you’re good to go, and of course, you could also add a GPU if your build required one.
Equipped with an Intel Z170 chipset, support for the latest 6th Generation Core i3/i5/i7 and Celeron CPUs, DDR3 memory, and more, the SZ170R8 promises to be a great building block for those who need a relatively pain-free, versatile and easily deployable system. While this may appeal to those building multiple systems for education, offices or retail, the capabilities on offer certainly have enough to entertain home users too.
Packaging
The packaging is quite minimal, just a durable white box with some stylish decals on it.
Pretty much the same around the back too.
In the box, you’ll find the pre-built barebones system, as well as a good collection of clearly laid out documentation, driver disc, power cable, SATA cables, screws and thermal paste; this system comes with a built-in CPU cooler, so that’ll certainly come in handy.
