Even though not as popular as other manufacturers, Shuttle is still on the market offering its products, today showing off its update line of XPC small form factor barebone PC.
Shown at CeBIT, the latest update welcomes the Z77 chipset with the XPC Z77R5 mini-PC barebone. Featuring a typical looking and sized XPC chassis, it measure 32.5 x 21.5 x 19.8 cm (DxWxH). Inside you’ll find an Intel Z77 chipset mainboard, offering the support for the upcoming Ivy Bridge and of course, the backward compatibility with existing LGA1155 Sandy Bridge processors.
The XPC Z77R5 offers one PCI-E 3.0 x16, a PCI-E 2.0 x4 and two mini-PCIe slots. The chassis offers one 5.25″ drive bay and a couple internal+exposed 3.5″ drive bays for your HDDs, SSDs or multi-card readers.
For connectivity, you’re provided with a couple of SATA 6Gbps ports, there is also an external eSATA port. Other connectivity features include 8-channel HD audio, six USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and DVI.
For providing power to the system, a 500W unit with 80 Plus Bronze efficiency has been installed.
Availability and price of the XPC Z77R5 have not been revealed yet.
