Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Official PC Requirements Revealed

Firaxis Games and 2K have announced that the highly anticipated Civilization VII will launch on February 11th, 2025. The latest instalment in the beloved turn-based strategy franchise promises a “revolutionary new chapter” with innovative gameplay mechanics, stunning visuals, and an expanded scope for players to build their empires. From leading historical figures to shaping the very cultural lineage of your civilization, Civilization VII is poised to redefine the 4X genre once again.

PC Requirements

To enjoy Civilization VII at its most basic level, you’ll need a system with at least an Intel Core i3-10100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processor, an NVIDIA GTX 1050 or AMD RX 460 graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and 20GB of SSD storage. This will allow you to play the game at 1080p resolution with low graphics settings and a 30 FPS frame rate. While not the most visually stunning experience, it will still provide a smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience for those with less powerful PCs.

For those seeking a more immersive and visually impressive experience, the recommended specifications include an Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD RX 6600 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and the same 20GB of SSD storage. This setup will allow you to play at 1080p resolution with medium graphics settings and a 60 FPS frame rate. For those who want to push the graphical fidelity to the max, the ultra settings require a powerful rig featuring an Intel Core i7-14700F or AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card, and a hefty 32GB of RAM. This will enable you to experience the game at 4K resolution with high graphics settings and a 60 FPS frame rate.

Obviously, if you’re running an even more powerful PC, then hats off to ya, you’ll have no issues with higher resolutions and refresh rates! Now all we have to do is wait a few months for it to be released!
