SilentiumPC Announces The Grandias 2 XE1436 CPU Cooler

SilentiumPC is renowned for creating an impressive range of air cooling solutions which exhibit a premium build while targeting respectable prices. The company’s recently unveiled their new flagship air cooler, dubbed the Grandis 2 XE1436 which is a D-type aluminium fin twin-stack cooler capable of dealing with thermal loads up to 250W. This makes it a suitable choice for those using an HEDT processor like the i7-5820K who don’t want to go down the liquid cooling route. The heatsink utilises an exposed copper base, from which six 6mm thick copper heat pipes make indirect contact with the CPU. This section passes through two aluminium fin stacks at both ends.
On another note, the fin stacks and top of the heatsink are finished with matte black covers which create a distinctive appearance. Also, the cooler is bundled with two fans; a 120mm SilentiumPC Sigma Pro and 140mm Sigma Pro-L. Both of these feature 4-pin PWM power inputs which perfectly balance thermal loads and the noise output. In terms of dimensions, the cooler measures 130mm x 105mm x 159mm and weighs a respectable 1.03KG. As expected, the hardware supports all the key motherboard sockets including LGA2011v3/LGA2011/LGA115x/LGA1366, AM3+ and FM2+.
To ensure you can re-install the cooler on multiple occasions, a tube of SilentiumPC Pactum TIM comes as standard. This is a nice addition and something which you don’t always see. Unfortunately, pricing hasn’t been disclosed yet but it shouldn’t be too long before this is revealed.
