SilentiumPC Fera 5 Dual Fan CPU Cooler Review

Installation
Although the manual you are provided with is rather light in terms of written instructions, likely to ensure no problems in language localisation (which can often be tricky), you are given a nice step-by-step guide absolutely packed with high-detail diagrams. Put simply, as long as you follow this, you shouldn’t have any problems in getting the Fera 5 Dual Fan successfully fitted to your system.
Mounting
The mounting system utilised in this design is one that we’ve seen SilentiumPC use many times before and, overall, while slightly different to the more ‘standard’ systems used in a lot of air coolers, in truth this is no better or worse. Between this and any systems you might be familiar with, I daresay it’ll take you no shorter or longer than you’re accustomed to.
What I can say though is that it is 100% straightforward and if you’re new to CPU cooler installation, this methodology and the excellent manual will see you through alright!
Overall Thoughts
From out of the box and onto our test bench, the SilentiumPC Fera 5 Dual Fan took us roughly 10-12 minutes to install. A little longer than the ‘standard’ model, but that time was only taken up with the installation of the second fan which is entirely to be expected.
Once installed, despite the lack of any RGB attempting to grab your attention, the Fera 5 Dual 5 manages to pull off a sleek and stylish aesthetic. No, it might not win any ‘razzle-dazzle’ awards, but if you’re after an understated cooler that would look good in practically any PC build, then this is a great choice.
Is it though? Well, with it fitted to our test bench, it’s time to turn things on and see what kind of results this provides!
