SilentiumPC has announced the launch of its newest version of its Spartan line of CPU coolers. This includes the Spartan 5 standard, the Spartan 5 MAX, and the Spartan 5 ARGB and MAX ARGB. This new lineup of CPU cooling systems was developed in cooperation with Synergy Cooling and directly competes with more expensive mid-range coolers. The streamlined heatsink design and base, which consists of heat pipes in direct contact with the processor, is able to effectively cool even the latest models while maintaining low noise levels and an affordable price.
The Spartan 5 family uses a specially designed, heatsink-integrated version of the award-winning 120 mm Fluctus fan, ensuring both quiet operation and psychoacoustic optimization throughout the entire setup. It was designed primarily for system integrators and users looking for efficient and inexpensive cooling. Thanks to its uniform structure, it is not only extremely easy to install but also much more resistant to mechanical damage that may occur during transport.
Spartan 5 & Spartan 5 ARGB
The Spartan 5 and the Spartan 5 ARGB are equipped with two copper heat pipes in direct contact with the surface of the integrated heat spreader of the processor. This allows for high-speed heat transfer to the aluminium heatsink, which has been equipped with several dozen fins that are able to significantly reduce temperature fluctuations.
Spartan 5 MAX & Spartan 5 MAX ARGB
The Spartan 5 MAX and Spartan 5 MAX ARGB feature a total of four copper heat pipes, which are also in direct contact with the integrated heat spreader, allowing for even more efficient heat dissipation. These models offer improved performance for systems with higher TDP.
Addressable-RGB fan
The Spartan 5 ARGB & Spartan 5 MAX ARGB are equipped with an integrated Fluctus fan with an autonomous ARGB backlight, which provides a rainbow effect without the need to connect it to a motherboard ARGB system controller. The 120 mm ARGB-enabled Fluctus fan can also be connected to a controller that supports addressable backlighting, allowing the user to select different colours and effects. ARGB models are identical to their non-ARGB counterparts in terms of performance.
Updated mounting system
All coolers from the Spartan 5 family are equipped with a completely new mounting system, consisting of a spring-loaded frame and only one movable element. On AMD platforms, the installation only requires a single screw. This system allows for faster and more convenient cooling installation and makes it more resistant to mechanical damage that may arise during short or long-distance transport of a fully assembled computer.
Compatibility
The Spartan 5 family comes with pre-applied Pactum PT-3 thermal paste. They are ready to be mounted on the most popular AMD processors straight out of the box. For Intel systems, an additional mounting kit consisting of only a few parts is included.
Available to purchase now, and all coming with a highly respectable 6-year warranty, SilentiumPC has confirmed the following prices consumers should expect with retailers for these new Spartan 5 CPU cooler designs:
