As a 280mm AIO cooler, you might expect the SilentiumPC Navis ARGB to have a pretty solid level of performance and, in truth, it does. Only, however, until a certain point.

Starting with the stock level performance, this cooler does well both in terms of temperatures and acoustics. Yes, comparatively it is a little on the noisy side. Don’t forget, however, that this does have 2 140mm fans rather than your standard 120mm. As such, some extra noise is to be expected.

When overclocked, however, the figures are not quite as positive. While the temperature figures are still well within reasonable remits, the noise levels really do ramp up quite significantly. Particularly at ‘spike’ points in the operation.

Put simply, while it is an excellent cooling option in terms of stock performance, it offers very little wiggle room in terms of overclocking. At least, not if you value low noise levels.

This shouldn’t, however, overlook the main key factor here. Namely, that for a cooler in this price point, you do have to temper your expectations accordingly. Yes, it doesn’t compete at the highest end, but this is significantly less expensive!
