Drop & Submerge Tests

The drop test and submerge test are the two I have been looking most forward to with this drive, it is rare that i get to be reckless with hardware on purpose.

The submerge test is very easy to perform and I simply placed it in a container filled with water and set the timer for 30 minutes.

When the 30 minutes are over and the alarm goes off, I take the drive out and dry it off. After having made sure that it’s completely dry I connect it to my system again and see there, everything works as it should.

The drop test is also very simple, I placed the drive near the edge of my table and ‘accidentally’ pushed it down a couple of times. An easy thing to do and one that will happen to a lot of people over time. Luckily this drive easily survives that part too.
