When testing a flash drive like this, then we’re interested in more than just the performance of an empty drive. We all know, an empty drive doesn’t always performs the same as a full one, or rather a full one doesn’t always perform as good as an empty one. To test this, I will test the drive fresh and new first and then gradually fill it with 25% of the drives capacity. Every time I do so, I will be running the same benchmarks tests again to deliver a better overall view on the drives performance.
On each of the following pages, I’ll be inserting screenshots from each test as well as a performance analysis chart and drive comparison chart. As the AIDA64 write tests require the drive to be unpartitioned we don’t get any fillage report here, instead we get a great view on the drives bare performance.
