At the time of writing I couldn’t find this drive listed in the US, but British readers are in luck and can get it via Amazon for £34.90 and German readers can pick on up for €76.32, also via Amazon. More availability is sure to follow.
Conclusion
The Silicon Power Blaze B50 is a beautifully designed flash drive with inspiration from the muscular curving and dynamic spirit of sports cars as well as a carbon fiber pattern surface. It all matches and looks great, and it even equally matches the performance of this drive. It is a grat looking drive that no one will be ashamed to pull out.
Speaking of the performance, it was great and living up to the rated speeds in the beginning. Being a USB 3.0 flash drive allows for much better transfer speeds than on the old USB 2.0 speeds and the Blaze went past that with blazing speeds. You aren’t being fooled by a blue connector here as you are on some other drives and we saw speeds up to 240MB/s reading and 75MB/s writing. That is quite good for the size, both physical and capacity.
Thanks to the capless design and use of slide mechanism, you don’t need to worry about losing or misplacing the cap. And we all know that we’ll do that a lot of times when we’re using drives with caps. Slide the plug out when you want to use the drive and slide it back in when you are done. The V-shaped LED gives the drive the final touch to makes it look even greater. Coupled with a large capacity and a fair price and we know that we have a great drive to enjoy for a long time.
