Silicon Power has announced that it will be participating at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) where it will showcase its newest XS80 PCIe Gen 5 SSD leveraging the fast speeds of the latest PCIe Generation of solid-state storage.
The XS80 is designed to offer some of the fastest storage performance on the market for both gamers and professionals who demand fast file transfers. It is equipped with the latest PCIe Gen 5 technology and 232-layer 3D NAND flash doubling the performance of Gen 4 SSDs and quadrupling it of Gen 3 SSDs. The drive is capable of reaching speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s on its 2TB model and 9,500MB/s on its 1TB model. It also comes with active cooling to ensure it runs for a long time in the form of a custom-crafted aluminium alloy heatsink.
More information on this drive will be revealed in the coming days however Silicon Power are also working in partnership with Mwave (Korea) and Umart (Australia) offering exclusive online promotions until October 8th with discounts of up to 20% on some of its latest SSDs and DRAM
