Silverstone is one the leading hardware manufacturers and produces an assortment of products featuring reliable designs. The company’s latest offering is the CS380 chassis which caters towards users with hefty storage demands. This makes it a good option for videographers and home servers. More specifically, the case has two 5.2-inch bays and eight hot-swappable 3.5-inch bays. The 3.5-inch bays contain SATA backplates which add compatibility for 2.5-inch drives. The caddies are also shielded by a lockable ABS front-door.
On another note, the chassis is constructed from steel for the most part and has a silver internal layout. While this looks dated, it’s not a huge issue given the target market. The motherboard tray accommodates add-on cards up to 24cm in length and CPU coolers with a maximum height of 14.6cm. Additionally, the case comes with a pair of 140mm fans which ventilate the drive cages and a 120mm exhaust. Connectivity-wise, the CS380 has a pair of USB 3.0 ports. In terms of dimensions, the case measures 215.3 mm x 487.5 mm x 426.5 mm (WxDxH).
Unfortunately, SilverStone didn’t reveal any information about pricing but I’m guessing it’s going to be fairly cheap considering the features and build. While it’s not the most attractive case on the market, it should be a good fit for home servers.
