Silverstone Continue to Innovate in Small Chassis Market

Silverstone Computex 2018

We’re big fans of the little cases that Silverstone create. They’ve got their fair share of big cases too, but when it comes to a small footprint, small form factors, they’re top of their game.

Their new LD03 certainly caught our eye, and builds on their solid panel edition from last year.

However, the old one would have had no airflow with tempered glass panels. To counter this, they’ve improved airflow in the bottom and top of the chassis. Furthermore, they’ve added an 80mm fan next to the expansion slots, allowing it to draw air up to the GPU where it needs it most.

LD01 and LD02

Part of the same range, but for mATX and ATX form factors, we have two more stylish chassis. These each feature tempered glass, and again a focus on airflow, cooling support, and ergonomics. They’re pretty compact given their hardware capabilities.

SG14

This is a fun one, as it’s technically the same chassis as the LD03. However, it uses a horizontal layout, bigger airflow yet again, and adds robust feet that double up as a carry handle. For a LAN gaming rig or portable battle station, this could be perfect!

SG-Series

Their affordable chassis push forward nicely too, with the SG15 offering up a very small footprint, room for ATX PSU, a full-size GPU, mATX motherboards, again good airflow.

TJ08-Pro

So many cases don’t feature the 5.25″ drive bay anymore. Of course, many people still rely on one for many reasons, and the new TJ is fit for the bill. It’s similar to the PS series, but features tempered glass side panels, as well as a pull-down front panel for that lovely 5.25″ drive bay.

Prices and Availability

We do know the price will be competitive, as Silverstone always are competitive. The hardware should all be launching this year, and we’ll update you as soon as we have more information.
