The fan was surprisingly lazy on this PSU, it didn’t have to work hard in either mode. The excellent efficiency and PFC mean that less unnecessary heat is generated, and the fan was able to spin as low as 110 RPM in some scenarios, or completely off in the hybrid mode for total silence. The fan can spin up to around 1500 RPM, and on a hot day when you’re maxing it out for long periods I’m sure it will, but it’s a good quality fan and is unlikely to be bothersome over the typical noise of any case fans anyway.
