Silverstone Fortress FT03-MINI PC Chassis Review

Starting at the front of the box, we can see the FT03-Mini is part of the Silverstone Fortress Series, a unique looking vertical chassis design, that looks so cool its resembles a mini fridge, we can also see that it comes fitted with support for USB 3.0.
Around the back we have a great diagram of the chassis, detailing some of the unique features and hardware on offer in this chassis, such as the 2.5mm thick anodized aluminium panels, very though, great for sound proofing the chassis too, I/O ports on the top of the chassis, instead of the usual rear when you normally find the motherboard ports, suppor tfor 9.5″ graphics card and SFX PSU compatibility, which is essentially a small form factor power supply for those who don’t know.
There wasn’t much in the box, although with such a small case, I don’t image you will need many screws anyway, but you will find all the usual nuts and bolts you require for drive installations, as well as a the USB 3.0 to 2.0 adaptor and instruction booklet, which you will need to read, as this chassis is a little different to most, fortunately the descriptions are clear, but unfortunately the pictures are not, making it a little difficult to follow at time, but its an instruction booklet, this is unfortunately standard fare these days.
Combined with this chassis we are also using this SFX form factor 450w PSU from Silverstone, a bite sized power supply that still packs all the usual punch of a full sized power supply, it still has dual 6 pin PCI-E rails and more connections that we would ever require for a build of this scale.
