Silverstone GD07 HTPC Chassis Review

Inside the chassis we can see things look a little different to your usual chassis, the left hand side is much like any other chassis, with space for your motherboard, expansion ports and then your power supply at the bottom. The right side of the chassis holds a removable cage with two silver coloured handles which we’ll take a closer look at in a moment.
As you can see, the inside of the chassis (with the cage removed) has several pre-installed 120mm fans.
Once you remove the 6 holding screws, you can lift the cage out with use of the handles on the top, within this your able to mount a range of 3.5″ and 2.5″ hard drives and optical drives.
The handles are there to provide easy removal and fitting for the cage, very handy that this is removable given the limited space inside the chassis.
On the back plate, you can see the 7+1 expansion slots, with the extra horizontal one coming in handy for devices like fan controllers which don’t require a PCI slot.
