SilverStone Introduces VT01 Mini-STX Chassis

Bigger isn’t always better, sometimes smaller is the way to go and that is the case for quite a few systems these days. SilverStone released a new chassis in the Vital Series called the VT01 which is just that, smaller. The VT01 is a Mini-STX chassis that still has room for all the vital components while only taking up 1.53 liters of space.
The SilverStone VT01 chassis is designed for the latest 5-inch by 5-inch mini-STX motherboard form factor and it is the first model in the series with its sturdy and stylish design. The chassis is slightly bigger than the normal NUC form factor and as such allows for more hardware to be included.
The case features oversized vents on the top and both sides for optimal passive cooling, but there is also plenty of space for active cooling in this chassis. Below the motherboard, you can mount a 2.5-inch SSD for your storage needs which by today’s standards allows for 2TB and more capacity. That’s a lot more than you would get from an mSATA drive, for example.
With the Vital series VT01 chassis, you also get a VESA mounting bracket that allows you to mount the chassis on the back of your monitor or on other VESA-75 compatible mounting areas. Tuck that thing away and just enjoy the benefits of your small but versatile DIY system.
Besides the rear cutout for the IO shield, the chassis also features a front USB 3.0 port, Type-C USB port, as well as microphone and audio ports for your audio and headset needs.
The tiny SilverStone VT01 chassis comes in at less than 600 grams weight on its own, which is quite impressive and again allows for a versatile usage. The availability of it is set for the 4th November where you can get it in either silver or black design, and it comes with an MSRP of just $30.70.
